Whether you’re a seasoned runner or taking on your first 10K, this event is for everyone. With a city centre start and finish, the run is a celebration of everything that is great about Glasgow as the city celebrates its 850th Birthday and takes runners through the iconic streets of Scotland’s friendliest city.
The event has a long heritage with Glasgow since it first staging in 1979. Every year thousands take part in the Half Marathon and 10K running events challenging themselves and raising money for good causes whilst being cheered on by the vibrant Glaswegian crowds.
There’s also the AJ Bell Junior and Mini Great Scottish Run on Saturday 4 October. Whether it’s just for fun, or part of club training to be a future Olympic medallist, there always a celeb or two at the start line counting down parents and superhero kids. Known as Super Saturday, it’s a great family day out and there’s always the competitive, some might say more than the parents, Mascot race.
Whether it’s your first 2.5km, 10km or your 46th half marathon, the AJ Bell Great Scottish Run 2025 is a run for everyone, of all ages and abilities. Plus, there are medals, finisher t-shirts and memories that will last for a lifetime as you cross that finish line!
