Enjoyed by generations for over 100 years, The IRN-BRU Carnival runs until 11 January 2026 (closed Christmas day) and this year features more than 75 hair-raising rides, games, and family-friendly attractions – making this the biggest show in the event’s 106 year history.
2025’s edition brings back classic favourites, including dodgems, waltzers and traditional fairground games all within a fully indoor arena, making this a must-visit during the Christmas and New Year period – whatever the weather.
This year welcomes a new ticketing digital system to improve convenience and flexibility. Tickets include entry to the Carnival, plus vouchers to use across rides, games, stalls, and inflatable play with fun for all the family. Tickets start from £14 for standard admission and include 5 vouchers, or upgrade to a 10-voucher ticket from only £20. Discounted tickets are available for groups, concessions, and Young Scot Card holders, and kids under three go free.
A new late entry ticket offers discounted options for those arriving later in the day. The new digital ticketing system also allows for vouchers to be transferred within your party via the See Tickets digital wallet app, allowing seamless entry and no need to queue upon arrival.
Visitors can also expect a great line up of musicians, themed days, and extra activities to take part in at the Carnival Entertainment Zone, including visits from the iconic IRN-BRU Can Man, live music from Maria McAveety and Lori, plus meet and greet opportunities with KPop Demon Hunters.
Carnival-goers can also take part in a treasure hunt or join in on festive fun with the Carnival Christmas Jumper Day (24 December) and popular Princess and Superhero themed day (27 December and 4 January).
As always, the popular Autism friendly session are back running 28 December 11am-2pm and 5 January 4-9pm. These sessions offer visitors with autism and other sensory processing differences and their families and carers the chance to enjoy a festive day out in a more relaxed setting. During these sessions the main hall lights will be on, and the music turned off or very low. Where possible, rides will run a little slower (although their lights will still be on) and quiet areas will be available at the event.
IRN-BRU lovers can also get in on the action with a new exclusive IRN-BRU-themed menu launching at the SEC’s Clydebuilt. From Friday 19th December until Carnival close on 11th January, fans can enjoy three themed dishes including Pakora, Cheesecake and BRU-flavoured Mr Whippy Soft-serve Ice Cream (served within the hall).
Margaret Cowan, Group Operations Manager. for the IRN-BRU Carnival said: “We’re so excited to be back for the biggest Carnival yet this year with over 75+ rides and attractions. There’s fun for all the family and a great line-up of themed days, musicians and extra activities. The Carnival is fully indoors and can be enjoyed whatever the weather. Running until early January, we can’t wait to welcome families across the festive season.”
