Learn how to use a sewing machine at Thimbleberry. This course is ideal if you have never used a sewing machine before or are looking for a refresher course. You will be taken step by step through a range of sewing techniques and make four fabric items to take home to impress your family and friends. Class sizes are small (max 4 students) so plenty of time to ask questions.
What you will learn:
• threading up a machine & filling a bobbin,
• pinning and cutting out techniques
• how to attach zips
• Plain & French seams
• how to make a sewing tool wrap, lined tote bag, cushion & cosmetic bag
• basic overlocking
What to bring: All fabric and equipment provided.
Duration: 3.5 hours x 4 lessons
Free tea/coffee & biscuits.

Thimbleberry Sewing is a sewing and crafting venue based in Elderslie, Johnstone. A bright and spacious studio where you can relax and create.
