Rosalind Gibson, Marketing Manager at XSite Braehead, said: “We’re thoroughly looking forward to welcoming our customers to take part in the celebrations, creating a mini fun-fair within XSite for everyone to come together and enjoy. People of all ages will love the classic childhood games and activities we’ve arranged for the occasion!
“Most importantly, we look forward to donating the proceeds to these amazing charities, including Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity which does so much vital work for children and families in our local area. XSite will be donating a £1,000 contribution on top of the funds we raise throughout our One Great Day activity.”
William McGowan, Head of Partnerships & Events at Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity said: “We would like to share our thanks with XSite Braehead for their incredible fundraising efforts in support of our young patients, their families and the NHS staff caring for them.
“It is thanks to the generosity of our supporters that, 20 years on, we are still here for children and families when the lights go down at the end of another difficult day in hospital.
“Our charity-funded projects and support services such as the play programme, bereavement support and emergency family support depend entirely on donations and fundraising. We are hugely grateful to the XSite Braehead for continuing to stand by our hospital community.”
Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity rely on donations to fund life-changing equipment, support services and research at Scotland’s largest children’s hospital. Charity-funded projects, including their Teddy Hospital, give children the opportunity to learn about their treatments in a child-friendly and non-clinical way through specialist play therapy, whilst their funded virtual visits from Clown Doctors play a vital role in helping to distract and relax young patients during their hospital stay.
