As you may know, we have moved to a new permanent home, restoring the former Argos store on Causeyside street, Paisley to its original Art Deco design, creating a new permanent art gallery in the heart of Paisley town centre.
To celebrate this exciting new chapter, “Deco 2025” will explore the Art Deco movement, stemming back to the early twentieth century when Art Deco first burst onto the world stage.
Art Deco, short for the French Arts décoratifs is a collection of visual arts styles in architecture and product design, first appearing in Paris during the 1910’s. Over the next two decades Art Deco spread across the globe, influencing everything from iconic architectural wonders such as the Chrysler and Empire State buildings, to furniture, sculptures, and household items.
Often categorised by simple geometric forms and vibrant colours, Art Deco was the mark of glamour, luxury, and exquisite craftmanship.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
