Join us in this fun, inclusive, and welcoming 6-week course on how to create your own unique, beautiful, garments sustainably.
Whether you've never used a sewing machine before or you're feeling a little rusty, you'll learn the skills to start sewing your own clothing and do it sustainably!
In this 6-week course led by Meron McCardle you'll make your own pin cushion, tote bag, and elasticated waist trousers or shorts.
Topics covered include:
• How to operate a sewing machine
• How to read and follow simple sewing patterns
• The basics of garment fitting
• Tips on how to find fabrics from sustainable sources
• How to identify what fabric is made from
• Basics of textile sustainability
• Plus much more!
But be quick, spaces are limited to ensure that each participant gets lots of tuition from the teacher!
All materials included for the first two projects!
