About Kimono Making Course
On this Kimono making course you will be taken step by step through the construction of this garment from cutting out to finishing. You will be shown how to make this garment using a commercial pattern, which you can take home to make many more. The pattern comes in a range of sizes XS – XL (Bust 30-48 inches).
You will learn how to: Pin and cut out a commercial pattern, transfer pattern markings, make and attach a facing, insert sleeves, hand sewing & hemming techniques.
What to bring: You will need 2 meters of 150cm wide fabric.
Skill Level: You need to be able to use a sewing machine.
Duration: 3.5 hours x 3 lessons. Approx.
All classes are taught by a tutor with over 30 years sewing experience.
Group bookings and 1-2-1 tuition are available on request.
Thimbleberry Sewing is a sewing and crafting venue based in Elderslie, Renfrewshire.
A bright and spacious studio where you can relax and create.
